Welcome to the International Dueling League! The top Duelists from all over the world register in this presitigious league, founded by Seto Kaiba, to foster friendly competition between top Duelists and build bonds between nations. The IDL hosts numerous events ranging from its major international tournaments to major one-on-one duels between the best professional Duelists in the league. All of the IDL's events are heavily advertised and internationally televised, and it has developed quite a massive following. Duelists wishing to join the professional circuit must be at least 17 years of age and have graduated from one of Seto Kaiba's illustrious five Academies, or they must challenge an established professional Duelist and either beat them outright, or display enough skill to prove their worth.
In the case of the latter, all professional circuit entry Duels will take place with an admin controlling an NPC, using a predetermined deck against the challenger. As stated above, you do not necessarily have to win, but you do have to put forth a good challenge. Do not fret if your character doesn't make it into the IDL on their first challenge; there is no limit on the number of times your character may challenge for entry into the league.
